Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is now at home within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but just a few years back Sony and Columbia thought they had it in them to launch their own standalone Spidey series with The Amazing Spider-Man starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. They were pretty wrong. The Amazing Spider-Man was kind of a weird movie involving questionable decisions like a giant lizard scientist, a pretty mean version of Peter Parker that made no efforts to hide his identity, a weird plot thing involving Peter’s parents and a whoooooole lot of unresolved storylines. How did this weird superhero movie come to be? Step in side the pitch meeting that started it all. It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

A typical sitcom will usually follow a year in the life of the characters through a single season. We’ll see different holidays, celebrations, and people getting older as time goes by. For That 70’s Show, things were a little different as the show was supposed to be set in the 1970’s only. Unfortunately for the creators, they premiered the show in 1976 and probably never expected it to last for so many seasons. Not only did the show last, but there are some crazy theories about why the timelines become so messed up.

If you re-watch the series, it’s really hard to ignore the timeline shift and changes. The characters are in high school for five seasons, Christmas is celebrated four different times and a majority of the series takes place between 1976 and 1979 — with 1976 only being half of the first season. So how could the timeline be so messed up? There are many dark theories out there, ones involving recalled memories, character comas, and some dark truths about their times. Season 4 of the show had a lot of pivotal moments, but there is one key episode which could have changed the course of the rest of the series and really helps the timeline take form. Other theories are just as dark and feature the memories of the characters with a whole different perspective. With a ton of hype and a seriously scary trailer, the expectations for The Nun were sky high with fans of The Conjuring franchise. The story of a young nun, played by Taissa Farmiga, and a priest who set out to investigate the murder of another nun quickly turns into more than they bargained for when the demon Valak gets involved. With all the makings of an awesomely terrifying movie experience, The Nun still managed to raise some eyebrows in both critics and audiences alike. Like any movie, some things just don’t make much sense, and we’ve set out to clarify them right here! To start off, it’s a little bit confusing how far off from the super creepy and very effective style of the first Conjuring movie The Nun has gone. It almost doesn’t seem like it’s part of the same universe, but whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to the fans. And then there are the jump scares, which there are so many of, that they lose some of their scariness pretty early on, as audiences are given the chance to get used to them. Then there’s the fact that there is no link between the casting of Taissa and her big sister Vera Farmiga, that audiences were so hoping there would be. Valak’s powers are pretty confusing, and it doesn’t make much sense at all why an all powerful entity would have to physically choke someone! Finally, the very early reveal of the titular demon doesn’t let the audience get drawn into the horror, and all in all leaves us wanting a little bit more. Or less, that is.
