After months on anticipation and an Entertainment Weekly photo spread, the Captain Marvel trailer has hit the internet and millions of fans have already watched the few minutes of teaser trailers. Besides some great action and a young Samuel L. Jackson, the trailer also gives us a glimpse of the 1990s. There may not have been much, but if you watch close, there are all kinds of 1990’s references woven throughout the footage.
Watch as Captain Marvel crashlands through a Blockbuster Video and gives a fun flashback to our video rental days! See some old school technology, including one of the more archaic ways to enjoy some music. Nick Fury is not only aged younger, but he wears one of the more popular fashion styles of the 1990s. If you look closely in the Underground lab, you’ll get a great look at the classic computer monitors we used to love running Windows 95 on. The Blockbuster itself is filled with many details, including classic video formats and the old school Blockbuster white and blue rental boxes we often protected VHS movies in. Nick Fury’s form of communication may look familiar because it came from a time before cell phones were commonly used by citizens. The next time you watch the Captain Marvel trailer see if you can spot all the same references we found. For now, enjoy these references and know there is a lot more to come when Captain Marvel and all the 1990’s glory gets released in March of 2019.

Epic Games, you really have us guessing! The Fortnite cube has been one quite a journey through season 5, and now Fortnite has surprised us again with the cub MELTING into loot lake. Unexpected? Yes. But how often do Fortnite theories ACTUALLY come true? The original cube theory that the cube would transform Loot Lake into a volcano haven’t seemed to come true. Instead, players in Fortnite Battle Royale stood by as the entirety of the lake was transformed into a bounce field! With Fortnite season 6 right around the corner, we still have no clue what the full season 6 ending will be. But it’s almost guaranteed that season 6 will be the wildest Fortnite season yet!
