Since it began in 1923, almost 100 years ago, the Disney animation studio has become an icon. They have made more classic movies than we can count, and are still going strong. Their beloved classics are so prolific that writers and animators everywhere can’t help but reference them and maybe poke a little fun at them, over and over again. These movies are burned into our memories, and make us nostalgic even thinking about them. From the first chord of The Circle of Life, to an instantly recognizable pair of mouse ears, Disney is ingrained in our pop culture, in more ways than we might think. Because of this, it’s so much fun to see non-Disney movies send up the House of Mouse, just a little bit. Like The Angry Birds Movie, where a poster for a fictional movie called Inside Snout is an awesome throwback to the recent Disney favourite Inside Out. Or in Bee Movie, where a sniper takes out Winnie The Pooh with a tranquilizer in order to reclaim his honey. Despicable Me 2 gives us Gru in an amazing Tinkerbell/Glinda The Good Witch costume, complete with blowing sparkles in a party guest’s face. Flushed away is packed with references to Disney, like the famous spaghetti scene from Lady and The Tramp. The Iron Giant takes a more classic approach, by having someone watch the same Western that is featured in 101 Dalmations, and the infamous Disney easter egg A113. Shrek is filled with too many Disney references to count, The Simpsons Movie isn’t subtle, Sausage Party goes above and beyond, South Park takes things to a whole other level, and even more!

As long as Marvel keeps quiet on information about the Avengers 4, fans will continue to come up with theories and dig through past Marvel movies. Some of the theories are a little out there — but one connected to Thor: The Dark World actually makes sense and we’ll break it down for you!

Thor: The Dark World is not one of the best Marvel movies, but there is a lot of exposition and information viewers can take in when watching it. Some of the information is related directly to Ant-Man and the Quantum Realm. The realm was an essential part of the Ant-Man movies, but it also may be the key to figuring out the dusting in the Avengers. What exactly happened to all of our favorite heroes? Well, the key maybe in the Quantum Realm and finding them may be up to Ant-Man as he tries to escape the Realm himself after getting trapped inside.

It’s hard to tell how much the realm will factor into the new movie, but if the scene from Thor: The Dark World is any indication, then we could be seeing a lot of it in Avengers 4. Watch to learn more about the theory, how it connects directly to the Thor sequel and what to expect once Avengers 4 is finally released. Putting all of the little pieces together is definitely a challenge, but we have a ton to look forward to once our heroes like Thor and Captain America return for the highly anticipated sequel.

There are a lot of movies out there, and with every popular movie comes a fan base to follow. There are perhaps no fans more dedicated, more enthusiastic, and more investigative than Star Wars fans. They are obsessed with their favourite movie franchise, and everything about it. So much so, that they have become unbelievable at predicting what is going to happen in the future, often based off of little more than a teaser trailer and an idea. Fans have gotten so good at predicting these plot points, that they almost kind of ruin it for themselves! They predicted a ton of things that turned out to be true, like the fact that Darth Maul didn’t actually die in Phantom Menace, or that jar Jar Binks would turn out to be a Sith Lord. How about the fact that Obi Wan knew R2-D2 and C-3P0 from before, or that Boba Fett also made it out alive, and that Luke had used a compass from the video game to find a hidden Jedi Temple. They guessed that E.T The Extra Terrestrial actually takes place in the same universe as Star Wars, that Poe would be saved by Finn because of a jacket in the trailer, that Kylo Ren turned Luke’s students to the dark side and they became the Knights of Ren, that Princess Leia would have a special connection with the force as well, that Kylo Ren would have actually been trained by Luke before turning to the dark side, and that Luke would exile himself out of guilt. That’s not even all that these amazingly dedicated fans have predicted, and it sure won’t be the last!
