Where does Nintendo’s true power come from? A certain immediate logic tells us that the war for console supremacy is fought in the specs. But if that were true, PC’s would win everytime, followed by the Series X as on paper it is king. But Nintendo continues to be an artistic and commercial force to be reckoned with. Why? We’re going to dive into its history as well as into the mind and heart of gamers themselves to try and imagine where those console based decisions are made.

We know (and we’re sure you do too) that nostalgia plays big in consumer’s hearts. Mario has been around for quite some time, and the name is almost synonymous with good times, playing with friends, a time of escapism and joy. They have a long line of games that are simple to start playing and don’t require many long sessions to get acquainted with controls and upgrade systems. They seem friendly and inviting, and even if you’ve never played many of their games before, because of the companies’ extensive history, you have an idea of what they’re all about. And sometimes, familiarity can be comforting, and being comforted is a great reason to play a game.

And we know the new machines are beautiful and offer newer, shinier, and sometimes grittier games. The Nintendo is still about innovation and still looks gorgeous – the marketing is the difference maker. It targets people looking for a fun user experience with other players in the flesh, not necessarily the best on paper experience. And who doesn’t want to have fun with other people?

Why Consoles NEED Liquid Cooling

Some Series X and PS5 owners are complaining of overheating issues, and we’re wondering why they don’t use a liquid cooling system instead of fans. The hype was so big for these super machines that something had to give. Some users say they’ve had to turn their machines off because they were getting too hot. In our video, we’re going to speculate into three key areas of why we think Sony and Microsoft opted out of the liquid cooling type systems used in many gaming PC’s: cost, aesthetics, and risk.

All in all, liquid cooling systems cost more, and so that cost would be forwarded to consumers. In order to stay competitive with the hundreds (if not thousands) of other forms of entertainments, they have to keep costs down as much as possible.

Aesthetically, liquid cooling systems could conceivably take up more space in the system causing them to bulk up. You also add more weight to the already heavy pieces of equipment – not ideal in a post Maria Kondo world. Space saving is a priority, and lean mean machines are more desirable than incredible bulks.

And finally, there is the risk that the liquid cooling systems entail mechanically – that the pumps fail. That basically leads to a more expensive version of the same problem.

Silicon Valley’s AMD has bounced back from near bankruptcy to global leader in graphics card tech with its Ryzen 3000, 4000, 5000 and 6000 series, and is banging out more frames per second, faster clock speeds, and better overall performance in the industries leading games, and looks to be ahead of its time with the massive titles coming out.

In this video, we’re going to talk about Intel’s historical stranglehold on the chip industry, and how strategic partnerships and deals with industry giants IBM and Microsoft kept it on top for so long. We’re going to talk about how its recent shortcomings with the 10 nanometer processors left a power vacuum, and how AMD was able to suck up that opportunity with sleek well priced products that have been blowing gamers and tech reviewers away.

And lastly, we’ll gloss over what the future holds for the graphics card industry, and how it’s not necessarily being the best of the best, but also having the most strategic partnerships and placing yourself inside products consumers can’t avoid. Intel is in the iPhone. Ryzen Zen 2’s are in the XBox Series X, S, and Playstation 5. Many laptops only pack Intel processors. Whoever is inside more machines that people love to buy will win in the long run, but for now, all eyes are on the fast growing AMD, and its killer Ryzen cards.
