The New Consoles Have Stirred The Old Giants

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

The new generation is here! The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 have landed and with them a ton of hype but also a ton of controversy. Unfortunately, mired in the beginning of the new generation is one of the last generation’s biggest controversies to date. The long-awaited Cyberpunk: 2077 was in no way the game that was promised, leading to mass refunds, apologies and lawsuits. This has led to a discussion over whether or not the new generation will follow the same pattern with titles like Anthem, Fallout: 76, and Battlefront 2. Will broken promises, loot boxes and broken games be the future or the past of gaming? There’s no way to know but such controversy has made fans nostalgic for an era of games that predated some of these issues. Well, as long as we have nostalgia glasses on at least.

The 7th generation of gaming featured beloved consoles like the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii. While this generation had plenty of problems, it is remarkable for redefining games as we know them today. This generation took what was still seen as a fun distraction for kids into a respected art form that tells beautiful, haunting stories. Everything great we have from games these days can be traced back to the 7th gen. Cinematic character-driven stories are all the rage now.

So let’s take a time machine back to the good ole days as we return to the 7th generation of gaming.

The Future Of Gaming Is Mobile

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

Everyone is OBSESSED with the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 right now. As exciting as all of that is, I think the future of gaming doesn’t have anything to do with consoles at all. Just ask Nintendo how much money there is to be made with gaming in your hands at all times. That’s right, I think that mobile gaming is perhaps the biggest thing in the future of the business. I think we could be on the verge of a brand new world of gaming on your phone.

For one, streaming services are getting better and better. The days of a buggy OnLive subscription are in the past. Now Microsoft, Google, Amazon and more companies are investing in high quality ways to play big console titles on your cell phone. That combined with the advancement of 5G internet means that you might be able to pick up right where you left off on big games like Halo 6 anywhere you are. Not only that but there are plenty of games available in the app store right now that would amaze you. Many games offer as close to a triple a title as a cell phone can manage. There are quite a few that try to replicate the success of big franchises like Call of Duty and Skyrim.

So let’s dive into the exciting world of mobile gaming and the limitless future it could offer you right at your fingertips.

Xbox Features That Would Make The PS5 Perfect

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

The Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5 have arrived. Well, sort of arrived, if you managed to out buy the bots and snag a console for yourself, or if you have enough expendable income to dare descend into the depths of eBay. Regardless of your console affiliation, or if you’re a firm member of the PC master race, we can all agree that both next-gen consoles have some awesome features we’d all, as gamers, like to see more of in the industry.

Today, we’re going to take a look at the top four Xbox Series X features we’d like to see make the jump to PS5. Now, we know the Xbox is more powerful than the PlayStation 5, so we aren’t going to ‘suggest’ the feature ‘feature’ that the PS5 come with a better CPU. We’ll be talking about features that could reasonably come to PS5 by way of a future software update or game patch or service change.
