The Evolution Of Nintendo’s Cartridges

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

Every generation of video game consoles brings on new challenges and new ideas. Out of all the major video game companies in the market today, none have gone through such drastic changes as Nintendo. As one of the longest running gaming companies in the world, Nintendo didn’t start with video games. In fact, their very first product ever was a line of hanafuda playing cards back in the 1890s. Now firmly in the video game industry, they have had a long list of consoles, each with unique designs and features. However, for today’s video we will be looking at something smaller, but just as iconic; the video game cartridge. From the Nintendo Entertainment System to the recent Switch, NIntendo has always had something for players to click in or insert to get the game started, and their history and evolution is an interesting tale. So we will be starting with the earliest example of cartridges, the Nintendo Entertainment. From there we will hit on other Nintendo gems like the Nintendo 64. We’ll even look into the development of some odder cartridges like the unique design of the DS and 3DS cartridges for their handheld systems. Lastly, we will take a look at the Nintendo switch and how this tiny tablet and console has taken the cartridge game a step further. Will Nintendo continue their tradition of cartridges in the future? Who’s to say, but sit back and relax and enjoy this dive into gaming history.

PS5 Features That Would Make The Xbox Series X King

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

With the release of the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft’s Xbox Series X and Series S consoles, another generation of video games has arrived. With these releases come fevered comparisons of the two devices, often made by kids hoping to reinforce the correctness of their choice to game on whichever platform. But while these devices are remarkably similar, these companies work in different ways and sell different products, and both companies can learn from each other.

To that end, today we’re going to be talking about what our top PS5 features we’d like to see come to the Xbox Series X are and talk a little about why we think Xbox would benefit from these additions. The PlayStation 5 does really well with its exclusive lineup, running last-gen games, the new Dualsense controllers, rechargeable devices, and VR support. These kinds of features would do well in the Xbox ecosystem, so buckle up, strap in, and let’s get into why!

Tesla is The Future Of Gaming

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

Playing games in the car has long been one of the most popular pastimes for gamers both young and old, as long as you’re not the one driving. In that case, I hope you’re not playing while driving, but if you’re a passenger, it’s definitely been something you’ve done at some point. But what if I told you that you could actually play games while you drive and not be a menace to society?

I know, it sounds crazy to suggest that you can game while you drive, but that’s exactly what Elon Musk and the folks at Tesla are working on achieving. The Tesla Arcade is in most of Tesla’s all electric vehicles and allows you to play nine different games while the car is parked on plugged in. It’s nothing special, but among the games to choose from are Cuphead and Fallout Shelter. Then, things changed with the Model S and X refreshes. Those vehicles have a 10 teraflop gaming rig capable of playing the Witcher 3. With Tesla working on a self-driving vehicle, I can’t help but think of playing games on such a powerful gaming rig while the car drives itself to your destination.

There’s more to Tesla’s in-car gaming than just that so enjoy the video, let me know if you think this is what the future of gaming looks like in the comments section below and don’t forget to subscribe to TheGamer for more gaming tech content.

Gaming Tech That Was Inspired From Movies/TV

Subscribe: https://bit.ly/Sub_to_TheGamer

In the many, many decades before cell phones, a tiny, pocket-sized computer you could play games on, call or message anyone in the world instantly, and use for any number of convenient functions from calculation to schedule management to shopping and much more was the stuff of science fiction. Then, technology advanced, and fantasy once again became reality. In the world of video games, much of what was only dreamed is now possible.

Stuff like virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, real-time upscaling, and computer-generated graphics have radically shaped and influenced gaming, and all of this simply wasn’t possible even half a century ago. Today, we’re going to take a look at this technology and examine how far we’ve come from the popular imaginings of it we all know and love.

We aren’t going to explain artificial intelligence or how machine learning works or anything of the kind, but we’re going to do a high level examination of how much of what was imagined is actually possible or will be soon. In some aspects, we’ve firmly brought into existence what we only dreamed of before, but in others, we still have a long way to go before it becomes actually possible.
