Jimmy Kimmel on Government Shutdown and Funding CHIP

We are on the brink of a government shutdown as Congress tries to hammer out some kind of an agreement to keep the country open for business. One of the major argument points is around CHIP, which is a health insurance program that covers about 9 million kids and has yet to be re-authorized more than 100 days after it expired. The Republicans are lumping CHIP into their spending bill, but they should really be taking a separate vote to ensure it passes instead of using children’s health as leverage.
