Throughout the years, the Dragon Ball franchise has the heavily established plot element that for our heroes to become stronger, they can simply power up and obtain a new transformation! Ever since the 90s, we were introduced to the iconic Super Saiyan transformation which Goku unlocked against the evil space emperor Frieza, to the long drawn out Super Saiyan 3 transformation which Goku used against Buu, and even the unique looking Super Saiyan 4!

Recently, Dragon Ball Super pumped out even more transformations with enough variety to fill the entire color spectrum! Whether it be the prophesized universe destructing power of the Super Saiyan God form, to the very creative Super Saiyan Blue, or even the majestic and godly Super Saiyan Rosé, one thing is for sure! There are way too many transformations that it might be hard to keep track of which one is stronger than the other! When the news came out about a new installment in the God Of War series, gamers got really excited. Luckily, when it hit the Sony PlayStation 4 in April 2018, it didn’t disappoint us. Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Santa Monica Studio really delivered the goods with its Norse tale of Kratos and Atreus. It may have moved on from Greek Mythology, but there was a whole new story to explore. There were also a load of secrets and Easter eggs in the game, which we’re going to tell you about.

If you remember the first two God Of War games, you’ll remember Kratos travelling around Ancient Greece, and you’ll remember some of the characters he met there, like the Boat Captain. While we’ve not seen him since God Of War 2, his legacy lives on in the frozen North, and today, you’ll find out how. You’ll also see how the game manages to spoiler itself, right in one of the very first battles. It’s done really cleverly, and it’s not the sort of thing you’d notice until you play through for a second time.

If you’re a fan of Stargate, you’ll recognize the voice of Kratos. It’s Christopher Judge, who plays Teal’c. Fans of the sci-fi show will be pleased to hear a nod to the program right from Kratos’ mouth! There’s also a sly wink at something in the trailer which wasn’t in the game. Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super are well-known for their powerful lineup of sadistic and outright vile villains like Frieza, the space emperor, and even Goku Black, the mortal-hating god! However, there are many villains within the comic book world that would be right at home in the Dragon Ball universe! DC and Marvel Comics alike have introduced dozens of villains, like the street-level Venom, a bizarre symbiote which Eddie Brock utilized to face off against the friendly neighborhood Spiderman!

There’s also Doomsday, the ultimate lifeform who has not only defeated Superman and the Justice League several times, but also comes back stronger from whatever wiped it out in the first place. Anti-Monitor is a multiversal threat within the DC Universe that Superman has needed hundreds, if not thousands of heroes to help in defeating him! The Asgardian Goddess of Death, Hela, possesses a wide arsenal of abilities that would no doubt give the Z-Fighters a run for their money!

Superman may be one of the most powerful heroes within the DC universe, but Superboy Prime puts him to shame! Although he might be a cocky teenager, his villainous nature has allowed him to decimate the Justice League, Mr. Mxy, the Anti-Monitor, and other powerhouses within the DC Universe! Goku Black has a beautiful contrast with Gorr the Godbutcher, a Marvel villain. One is a mortal-hating god while the other is a god-hating mortal. Amazo from DC Comics is capable of replicating the attacks of his opponents, which is sure to make the Dragon Ball universe struggle! Thanos and Darkseid are two of the most powerful villains within their respective comic book universes, and they may pose such a huge threat that even Zeno himself would have to get involved! Let’s explore the DC and Marvel villains who clearly belong within Dragon Ball!

A vital part within a story is that the protagonist may struggle against a villain, but are all villains truly evil, or do they have some sort of messed up origin or backstory that may justify their vile acts? Whether it be one of Spiderman’s most well-known adversaries such as Electro, to Black Panther’s mercenary and high-kill count having cousin, Killmonger, or even the metal-controlling mutant known as Magneto, there is no shortage of tragic childhoods that shaped these villains into what they would become.

DC fans may know how insanely twisted the Joker is, but even he has his boundaries as Marvel’s iconic Nazi villain, Red Skull, was too much for the Joker to bear! Thor’s adopted brother, Loki, also had a rough childhood, which may explain why he would always be scheming. Strangely enough, even the heroes like the Hulk would be affected in the long run and become a rather grotesque villain! Even the Goddess of Death, Hela, had no boundaries as she went as far as slaying and enslaving her own people. However, the evil artificial intelligence known as Ultron did not discriminate as he hated all humans equally, regardless of genetic makeup, affiliation, or appearance, he wanted them all extinct!

The body count of these villains is child’s play in comparison to that of Galactus, a force of nature responsible for consuming countless amounts of worlds in order to satiate his hunger. Shockingly, even a high body count is pale in comparison to the vastly obscene things Thanos had done to his own children, his parents, and even his own homeworld! There is no shortage of messed up origin stories within this ScreenRant list!
