Deep Dish Pizza Recipe

An epic recipe inspired by our #LostandHungry tour. After trying some deep dish pizza in Chicago we knew it had to be added to the list of recipes we recreate.

This one has a rich, buttery, cheesy crust, topped with generous portions of cheese, a rich tomato sauce and is finished with Italian sausage and onion.

Mezcal & Tacos in Oslo: Chef’s Night Out with Maaemo

You would expect a chef who runs one of the world’s top 50 restaurants—serving some of the most meticulously crafted dishes you ever seen—to be very professional, if not uptight. That’s not to say that Esben Holmboe Bang of Maaemo isn’t professional, but after a night out with him, we can most definitely say he is not uptight.

We start things off at Maaemo for a couple of beers with friends, then head out to Taco Republica for some of the best Mexican food in Oslo—and a ton of mezcal. Next stop is Arakataka for more traditional Norwegian cuisine, followed by No. 19 for cocktails and Norwegian folk metal. We then end the night at home sweet home, Maaemo, for a feast of sheep ribs. Enjoy this very boozy and funny adventure through Oslo.

How to Make a Pina Colada with Barney Toy

Barney Toy, runner-up of the 2015 Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition, is also a bartender in New Zealand at Society & Nook. At the after-party affairs of the competition—held on Cockatoo Island in Sydney—Barney shows us how to make a festive and tasty classic: the Pina Colada. Literally translating to “strained pineapple,” this cocktail is rumoured to have been conceived by Puerto Rican pirate Roberto Cofresi to boost his crew’s morale. The drink also has its very own dedicated national day of celebration—honoured by the tropical island on July 10.
