#Ford may be a bit late to the muscle car horsepower war but the 2020 #Shelby #GT500 is built to be the most powerful production #Mustang ever built. With over 700 hp coming out of a supercharged 5.2L V8, Ford says this hottest Stang will be able to run to 60 in 3.5 seconds and clear the quarter mile in less than 11 seconds. Just expect to pay a premium for the most powerful Mustang ever built.

The #Passat may have a long history #Volkswagen but sales of sedans have seen a huge decline over the years. The current model has been out since 2012 which prompted #VW to give it a big update for 2020. Unfortunately, it doesn’t move to the lovely MQB platform and will only be available with one engine, the VR6 was discontinued in 2018. It seems like the future of the Passat is in jeopardy but the 2020 model still has a lot of the current generations strengths.

With the discontinuation of all their sedans, crossovers are the future for GM’s luxury division. For 2020, we are seeing the 2nd all-new vehicle expected to be released every 6-months, this #XT6 is designed to offer buyers who want to space of the Escalade but without the bulk and fuel thirst. Next to its rivals, it seems like Cadillac may have played it a bit safe, especially when you look at the design and engine specs. #NAIAS

After a very long 22 year absence, #Toyota has FINALLY unveiled the production ready 2020 #Supra after years of teasers and rumors. It looks just like the FT1 concept car from 2014 and thanks to a partnership from #BMW, comes with the same 3.0L turbocharged I-6 from the BMW engine family paired with only an 8-speed automatic for now. It stays very true to the Supra formula with RWD and a striking design, all for a very reasonable $49,990 starting price. It should be a nice addition to the shrinking sports car segment and we can’t wait to drive one when it goes on sale later this year.

The #Lexus #RCF had all the makings for a proper high performance coupe from the Lexus performance division. Unfortunately, its hefty curb weight blunted handling and straight line acceleration. The 2020 #RCFTrackEdition looks to rectify those shortcomings with carbon fiber panels, more horsepower, and a weight reduction of 176 pounds. Lexus says it’s the perfect vehicle to beat all day long at a track and drive home in the evening when you’re done.

Flagship coupes are the kind of vehicles that make people want to aspire to own. Thankfully, #Lexus did their latest coupe, the #LC500 right last year when they made the concept car into a production version. A topless version makes perfect sense and this #LCConvertible concept looks very production ready. If Lexus decides to build it, it should only help to strengthen the desire in Lexus showrooms.
