When #Acura brought back a Civic based vehicle to the lineup in 2013, the #AcuraILX was supposed to be the modern interpretation of the #Integra from its early years. Based on the 9th-generation Civic from 2012, the #ILX offered 3 different flavors at launch, a hybrid, a 2.0L 5-speed automatic, and a 6-speed manual 2.4L combination. In 2016, Acura removed 2 powertrains leaving only the 2.4L i-VTEC 4-cylinder with 201 HP and a quick shifting 8-speed DCT transmission. For 2019, the #ILXASpec has a new design front & rear, a slightly updated cabin, a significant price reduction, and surprisingly good looks, despite its age. Buyers interested in the #CivicSi but don’t want to row your own gears may find plenty to like with this 2019 ILX, at least until a new generation is hopefully introduced, we’d like to also see the return of a #TypeS model.

The #HyundaiElantra has always been a competent entry in the compact sedan segment. The current one has been around since 2016 so #Hyundai has given the #Elantra a pretty substantial exterior design tweak for 2019. A polarizing front end highlights these changes but on the #ElantraSport trim, a 201 HP turbo engine and 6-speed manual transmission continue to make it one of the more enticing options if you want a sporty economy car that feels more expensive than its price would suggest.
