What inspired this series of animal companions created from Samsung TV Eco-Package? Check out how Dezeen x Samsung Out of the Box Competition finalists Sarah Willemart and Matthieu Muller made a polar bear, black rhino and sea turtle from The Sero, The Serif and The Frame’s boxes.

The design is one of five finalists in the Dezeen x Samsung Out of the Box Competition to create environmentally-friendly household objects by repurposing cardboard packaging in an innovative way.

Eco-Package: Out of the Box with The Rider | Samsung

Meet Dezeen x Samsung Out of the Box Competition finalist André Cardoso and learn what inspired him to create a rocking horse for kids. Called The Rider, Cardoso designed it so that the graphic image of The Serif on the front of its Eco-Package box becomes the horse’s saddle when constructed.

The design is one of five finalists in the Dezeen x Samsung Out of the Box Competition to create environmentally-friendly household objects by repurposing cardboard packaging in an innovative way.
