REPLAY: Day 1 – HOT ROD Drag Week 2018 from Atlanta Dragway

Watch the first day of Hot Rod Drag Week 2018! Unfortunately rain ended the day early and interrupted racing from 3:01:46 – 3:27:32, but there are still plenty of races to check out.

HOT ROD Drag Week is more than just clocking the fastest time on the strip; it puts competitors to a grueling test over the five days of drag racing, requiring racers to drive their vehicles on a specified route from city to city, upward of 1,000 miles. During the competition, drivers provide photographic evidence to prove they have adhered to the prescribed route. 5 different tracks, 5 different days.

No Truck? No Problem

This Dino is one of 357 mid-production 246 GT L Series cars with an uprated 2.4-liter engine with aluminum body panels and knock-off wheels. Brian and his wife Randy picked up this Ferrari from the factory in Modena for their honeymoon tour across Europe. This low-mileage Dino has been carefully maintained throughout its life, and because of that, has never needed an engine rebuild.

Brotherly Love: The Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance McCaw Sibling Rivalry

One of the main storylines last year at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance revolves around the McCaw brothers. The tension was high as the two brothers pulled their cars up to hear the final announcement for “Best of Show.” A special moment for the Concours history as this was the first time two brothers had been in contention for the top award. Bruce’s 1929 Mercedes-Benz S Barker Tourer ended up taking home the coveted trophy and Bruce has plans to keep the trophy for another year. For 2018, Bruce is not holding anything back. This year he has entered two amazing vehicles. His 1930 Bugatti Type 46S Reinbolt & Christé Four Door Cabriolet and 1964 Sheraton-Thompson Lotus 34 Special. Watch the 2018 Live Stream to see if Bruce can repeat his success in this year’s show.
