The new Koenigsegg One: hypercar is so called because its power output of 1340hp (1322bhp) matches its kerb weight of 1340kg. It will generate 600kg of downforce, aided by the enormous rear wing, and more than 2G of lateral grip under cornering. It also features active aerodynamic devices and what is described as an active chassis, all of which adjust to keep the car in its optimum specification depending on use.

For its third incarnation, the TT has been given an all-new exterior design that looks sleeker while retaining similar proportions and dimensions to its predecessor as well as a comparable silhouette. The Volvo Concept Estate stars at the Geneva motor show this week, and follows the acclaimed Concept Coupé from last autumn’s Frankfurt show and the Concept XC Coupé shown at Detroit earlier this year. The new XC90 is now just seven months away from its debut, which will be at the Paris motor show in October. The Vauxhall Astra VXR Extreme is likely to enter low-volume production if its reception at the Geneva motor show next week is positive. If the car gets the green light for production, it will become the most powerful front-wheel-drive car in Vauxhall’s history. The VXR Exteme develops “over 296bhp” from its 2.0-litre turbocharged direct-injection petrol engine. The powerplant, which also features variable cam phasing, drives through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
