Day 3 Recap. Things are going well here on the third day of Hot Rod’s Week to Wicked build presented by Duralast. Today the crew got the engine and transmission into the car, which means most of the heavy lifting is done. There was a bit of a mix up with the oil pan and motor mount combination, but finally the crew got the right assortment of both and settled the LS3 from Gandrud Chevrolet into the engine compartment.

On this Preview of Throttle Out Episode7, Zack Courts and Ari Henning tour the twisty mountain roads and famous night markets of northern Thailand, while attempting to pay for their travels by selling American-style food to tourists and locals.

Day Two Recap. Day two began with the final installation of the rear axle assembly, adding the brackets to mount QA1’s rear coilover conversion. Once the axle was fully installed, the crew moved to the front of the car, where Mike Hamrick from Wilwood Disc Brakes showed off an easy way to set up the front spindles and mount the calipers so they are centered over the brake rotors. They did run into a snag however…

Day One Recap. Disassembly went flawlessly as the Tech Center guys made this 1969 drop top Chevelle ready for its Duralast Week to Wicked make-over. The old small-block and transmission have been sent to greener pastures to make room for an LS3 and a 4L65E tranny, and they got a jump start on the front end and big brake kit. The build is off to a roaring start! Well, not roaring quite yet…

Our 10 competitors battle it out for horsepower and torque supremacy on the chassis dyno at ATS Diesel Performance.
