Ford of Europe’s chief operating officer Barb Samardzich recently addressed the audience at Autocar’s inaugaral Great British Women of the Car Industry event, held in London.

Samardzich called on the industry to embrace the opportunity to attract more women into the sector and cited the Harvard Business Review which says companies with the best record for promoting women into senior positions are up to 69% more profitable.

Featherweight Frankie Edgar watches his teammate Eddie Alvarez win the lightweight belt that he used to wear, and Jose Aldo tries some new math during his weight cut. Women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate and her challenger Amanda Nunes sweat out their remaining pounds, but Tate has a close call during the official weigh-in on Friday. Later that day, the fighters square off with their opponents at the ceremonial weigh-in one final time before UFC 200. UFC 200 Embedded is an all-access, behind-the-scenes video blog leading up to the two championship fights, two heavyweight collisions and the Cormier-Silva bout at the historic UFC 200, taking place Saturday, July 9 on Pay-Per-View.
