The BMW M8 Competition Coupe is Germany’s latest luxury sports car. Costing £125,000 in the UK and with 616bhp of power it’s a fast, four wheel drive four seater that can get from 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds.

But here it faces very silly competition, in the form of the Ford Mustang CS800, from UK tuner Sutton Bespoke. With a huge supercharger on its 5.0 V8 engine it makes as much as 825bhp and will get from 0-60mph in, we estimate, around 4.0 seconds and on to a top speed of around 180mph. It costs from £63,000 but here it costs £105,000 as tested, which puts it on a natural par with the BMW M8 Competition.

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the world’s most luxurious SUV.
It is a 4×4 that in this Black Badge form is priced at nearly £300,000.

It has a 6.75-litre V12 engine making 600bhp and despite its incredibly luxury is capable of going from 0-60mph in 4.9 seconds and on to an electronically-limited 155mph top speed.

Praise be, the regular Porsche 718 Cayman and Porsche 718 Boxster with a six-cylinder engine are back.

When Porsche moved its 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster to four-cylinder turbocharged engines, a good old-fashioned flat six engine was reserved for the limited edition Cayman GT4 and Boxster Spyder. Well, not any more.

This is the 2020 718 Cayman GTS and 718 Boxster GTS, and they are fitted with a naturally-aspirated, 4.0-litre flat six engine that recently appeared in the Cayman GT4.

With 394bhp (400hp), the pair make 20hp less than a Cayman GT4. But both still have a 0-60mph time of 4.5 seconds and have a top speed of 182mph. The Cayman GTS costs from £64,088 and the Boxster GTS is priced from £65,949.
