There’s no denying Disney movies have a lot of death involved in them. Not only do villains like Scar die, but a number of other characters meet terrible fates as well. Because the company tries to maintain a family-friendly rating, sometimes these deaths are a little more vague than the others. Naturally, fans speculate, come up with theories, and put all types of clues together based off their favorite Disney animation.

In Frozen, we meet Sven when he’s just a baby, likely indicating his mother is dead. The truth about Sven’s mother is closer than most think and Kristoff may be involved. Bambi’s mother dies from a mysterious hunter in the classic animated movie, but the fatal shot may have been blown by a villain from Beauty and the Beast. Sully and the other creatures in Monsters Inc. were afraid of humans and for good reason as a Toy Story short once proved. Scar’s death was pretty brutal as they come, but did he suffer the same exact fate as Gaston in Beauty and the Beast? Zira suffered a huge fall in the Lion King 2, but was it a fall or an intention jump? Deleted scenes on the DVD may provide a huge clue to the answer. A small fly dies in the Emperor’s New Groove, but it could have been a human all along. Ariel’s mother’s death was off-screen for several years until some footage revealed a dastardly pirate may have been involved. In video games, Easter Eggs are typically a fun surprise for gamers. The entire point is to either recognize a facet of pop culture or to reward hardcore gamers for playing the game so thoroughly. Everyone loves discovering Easter Eggs in any video game that they’re playing because, oftentimes, it’s like a secret between the game developers and the gamer. Most Easter Eggs are fairly harmless. They’re a recreation of a popular meme or movie scene. They can be a nod to an older title in the same franchise or just a funny joke that most players will get once they run across it.

Sometimes, however, these jokes may fall flat. What seemed like a good idea to developers at the time may not go over so well with the fans. Either these Easter Eggs are just ill timed, poorly thought out, or just plain ridiculous. Occasionally, these Easter Eggs are just plain weird. Sure, some gamers may find them funny, but others may find them simply irritating. Nevertheless, these cringe worthy Easter Eggs did happen and while some of them are kind of funny, we can’t help but think that the developers could’ve spent their time more efficiently.

After all, it isn’t easy to create a video game so putting in so many hours on what is, essentially, a joke seems somewhat pointless. However, some of these Easter Eggs, no matter how ridiculous, have become somewhat famous in pop culture. Did you know you can use a USB keyboard to input text on Switch? Or that Nintendo has tucked a full-fledged internet browser onto the system, just out of sight? And those Joy-Con controllers are much more versatile than they seem at first. Not only can you use them to play Switch games, but you can even connect them to your phone or computer to play games. If you’ve ever binged through a game only to wonder how much time you actually poured into it, the Switch lets you check your play time in any game you’ve played. Not only that, but the Switch can also turn on your TV.

And don’t think you’re locked into games released in your region. You can set up a new eShop account to buy and play games from any region. If you’re in the mood for a new game but don’t want to spend a lot of money, you can see which games are on sale at any time in the eShop. If you frequently find yourself running through your battery’s charge, you might want to get yourself an external battery pack to squeeze out more playtime. If you’re the only one who plays your Switch, you can make it stop asking which user you are each time you start up a new game. And finally, if you manage to lose track of a Joy-Con, the Switch can help you find it.

Not a bad set of features for such a tiny game console.
