Pokemon hit the scene in 1996 and most people thought that it was just a passing fad for children to pass the time with. Collecting virtual creatures and forcing them into the digital equivalent of illegal dog fights couldn’t have possibly lasted more than a fortnight, right? Well, for all the naysayers, it’s over 20 years later so it looks like Pokemon is here to stay. Don’t get your Pokeballs in a twist over it.

Everyone is familiar with the catchphrase, “Gotta catch ‘em all!” The entire basis of the series is forcing children to hunt for Pokemon like kids in a warzone hunt for brass in order to buy food. The games themselves are probably precursors to a serious gambling problem, but who cares? The creatures are cute and it’s fun to force them to fight for their lives! It’s like indentured servitude, but with zero perks whatsoever! No one gains their freedom!

So back to catching them all! There are over 800 Pokemon available in the wild, depending on which game you’re playing and where (if it’s Pokemon Go). That’s a lot of Pokemon to be trapped in a small, cramped Pokeball. It pretty much goes without saying that not every Pokemon you catch is going to be a winner, but as everyone knows Rattata isn’t lying about how awesome he is. Other Pokemon, however, love to give the appearance of being legendary fighters in every way, shape, and form, but are overall disappointing. Those are the Pokemon we’re hatin’ on today.

10 Dark 90s Cartoon Theories That Will Ruin Your Childhood

Be warned, once you here these theories, your childhood may be ruined forever! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Cartoons from the 90s were pretty darn awesome and they still hold a place in the memories of many people today. But despite the fond memories, there are some dark internet theories out there that may just ruin some of your favorite childhood memories. For instance, Ash from Pokemon is potentially in a coma for the whole entire series. That, or he wished to remain a child for the last twenty years. Pinky from Pinky and the Brain may in fact be the brain that the song talks about. Doug Funnie from Doug may have schizophrenia, which is the reason for his vivid daydreams and how he’s able to interact with them. Caillou on the other hand, may have it worse if it’s actually diagnosed with cancer. Two characters from Samurai Jack and Powerpuff girls may in fact be the same character. There also may be a connection between Magic School Bus and Dr. Who. Ed, Edd and Eddy may all be living in purgatory, which would honestly explain a few things and Angelica from the Rugrats show may have been imagining the whole thing in her head. Spongebob Squarepants was insanely popular, but what if he’s existence, along with his pals, were the result of nuclear testing? There’s also substantial evidence that the main villain from Inspector Gadget is a familiar person. By the time we’re done listing the reasons behind these theories, we’re you’re going to look at these hit 90s cartoons in a different light, thanks to these dark theories.
