The BMW M5 is typically the benchmark big German superslaoon. Its twin-turbocharged engine makes all but 600bhp these days, and drives all four wheels of the hottest BMW 5-Series, to make it a crushingly capable sedan.

But, as Yoda once said: there is another. Alpina is an independent manufacturer and valued customer of BMW, and as soon as an M-car is on the horizon, so too is the Alpina version. This is the B5, equal on power with the M5 and also employing four-wheel drive, but with a very different, rather smoother and more discreet way of going about, ultimately, the same job.

Which is the best at it? We head to the overcast roads of Wales to find which of these two out-übers the other.

For many of us, watching a movie trailer is often even better than the movie itself. A trailer is the ultimate way to build hype for your favorite movies and they have only become more popular over the years. Now we even get teaser trailers for the trailers of huge movies like the Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. But why do movie trailers make us so excited? Well, let’s break things down and showcase some of the ways these short clips secretly manipulate you.

Many trailers love to showcase the reaction shots of characters. These shots are used to convey the emotions behind the characters. Red band trailers showcase uncensored moments of a movie and provide a way for fans to feel like they are seeing more than they should. Trailers often feature famous songs, but they are commonly remixed and changed to fit the movie more. Along with music, certain sound effects are used to convey emotions. Horror movies have a number of unique ways of showcasing different effects through trailers. Smaller sound effects are used in a big way when trailers are showcased both online and on the big screen. Over the years, many trailers have relied on cover songs used in a whole new way including the film Geostorm. These songs often become hits and their familiarity helps people remember the trailers even more.
