In the DC Comic books, every formation of the Justice League has included some type of Green Lantern character. This gave the DCEU a huge opportunity to bring Hal Jordan or another Green Lantern on for a cameo or appearance in this Justice League, but this never happened. Despite the lack of Green Lanterns in all of these movies, the DCEU may have been secretly setting up the Green Lantern Corps the whole time. Multiple movies have clues in them, including several scenes and moments found in the Justice League.

The world of Green Lantern includes the cosmos, magic, and alien creatures. With the release of Man of Steel, alien creatures were introduced right away, showcasing a universe filled of creatures with alien powers besides the Kryptonians. In both Man of Steel and Batman versus Superman, there was a character named Carrie Ferris. The Air Force soldier was an obvious homage to Carol Ferris and could have served as some of the important groundwork for eventually introducing the Green Lantern character. The inclusion of magic and powers in both Wonder Woman and Shazam helps lend evidence to the early days of the Green Lantern and some of DC’s best comic book origins. Justice League had multiple moments featuring the Green Lantern including both in a great war scene and in a cut scene which we may never get to see in all its glory.
