What Did Nintendo Do!?

Nintendo is absolutely dominating the gaming industry right now thanks to the success of the Switch and its exclusive titles. That hasn’t always been the case, though, and Nintendo has had just as many flops as they have successes. Nintendo would just as quickly have you forget about most of their biggest failures as they would celebrate their accomplishments.

Remember the Wii U? That console nearly bankrupted Nintendo and its best games have already been ported over to the Switch. Then there are the weird software choices, like Superman 64 and Captain Rainbow.

Nintendo has a lot of skeletons in its closet, and they’re as fascinating as they are bizarre. That’s why, in this video, TheGamer is going to take you through all of the Nintendo wishes gamers would forget. Get ready for a stroll down repressed memory lane!

Gringgo Trash Tech is a  grantee of Google.org’s AI Impact Challenge and received funding  as well as mentorship from AI experts to help accelerate their growth to address the problem faster.

The Call of the Wild | Avalanche Clip | 20th Century Studios

An epic adventure awaits. Watch the new clip for #CalloftheWild, in theaters February 21. Get tickets now: http://bit.ly/COTWTickets

Adapted from the beloved literary classic, THE CALL OF THE WILD vividly brings to the screen the story of Buck, a big-hearted dog whose blissful domestic life is turned upside down when he is suddenly uprooted from his California home and transplanted to the exotic wilds of the Alaskan Yukon during the Gold Rush of the 1890s. As the newest rookie on a mail delivery dog sled team–and later its leader–Buck experiences the adventure of a lifetime, ultimately finding his true place in the world and becoming his own master.

As a live-action/animation hybrid, THE CALL OF THE WILD employs cutting edge visual effects and animation technology in order to render the animals in the film as fully photorealistic–and emotionally authentic–characters.

5 Facts, 1 Lie: Most Expensive Game Purchases Ever

What’s the most you would pay for a game? Money, cash, dollar bills, bitcoin. How much? What about for a super-rare game that’s not even fun, JUST rare? What about a super-fun game like Super Mario Bros., but a particularly unique copy? What about a softcore pornography text adventure game, if we promised the purchase wouldn’t show up on your credit card bill?

Enough questions. Brian Altano’s got 5 true stories of outrageous sums paid for single copies of games for you, plus 1 total lie. Can you spot the specific nonsense among the generalized ridiculousness of paying thousands for a 35-year-old game? Let us know how you did in the comments.
