سعودي يرفض بيع حجر “سجّيل” بـ 4 ملايين دولار

 رفض مواطن بيع قطعة أثرية عبارة عن حجر يعود لـ 1442 عاماً بمبلغ 4 ملايين دولار عرض عليه من مصر، بينما اكتفت هيئة السياحية وتحديداً مكتبها في منطقة الباحة بطلب صورة من الهوية الوطنية وترك الحجر والانصراف!

وقال المواطن صالح مسفر الغامدي: “عثرت على حجر (سجّيل) يبلغ وزنه 131 جراماً، كعدد كلمات سورة الفيل بالتعوّذ والبسملة، ويحمل صورة طير وفيل وعليه ختم من الجانبين وأسراب طيور، وهو حجر كما وصفه القرآن سجيل طين متحجر محروق، يعود تاريخه لعام 571 ميلادي، أي منذ 1442 عاماً”.

وأضاف الغامدي: “وجدت الحجر عام 1431هـ في وادي جرب التابع لمحافظة العقيق بمنطقة الباحة، وكان يسمى الوادي الأخضر، وهذا الوادي نزل فيه أبرهة الحبشي وجنوده، ومكثوا فيه فترة طويلة ولديهم جادة هنا”.

وبيّن أنه عثر على الحجر بعد رؤيته مناماً في الليلة السابقة يتعلق بوالده وجده، ولفت إلى أنه استشار الكثير من الزملاء حوله، وذكر بعضهم أنه يمكن بيعه بمبلغ 50 Continue reading →

Filip Polc triumphs in Red Bull Ride The Palace. The Slovak needed only 1 minute and 12 seconds to fly from the roof of National Palace of Culture in Sofia through the 7-floor course and land at the marble tiles around the monumental building, an iconic symbol of the communist era in Bulgarian history. Red Bull Ride the Palace challenged 60 riders from 6 countries to compete at a unique urban DH course that attracted a few thousand young people from the capital city, crowded together to witness a never before seen mountain bike race.

A friction fire made by the “Fire Plow” method is not as easy as it looks. Practicing with the right woods and techniques is invaluable to being prepared for an actual emergency. I used dried wild hibiscus wood, which in my experience is the easiest wood to do this with. I’ve heard that dried sotol wood is also very easy.

The Samoans say that any type of wood can be used to make a friction fire, and it’s important that both sticks come from the same piece of wood.

I’ve tried many different woods and been successful with amazing amounts of smoke, but thus far haven’t had any success in developing a coal. It’s probably my technique, which I hope I can master over time, but I’ve found very little information on the subject, and nobody who’s actually done it with wood other than hibiscus or sotol.
