The Playstation 5 is coming out later this year and it is poised to potentially take the world of Esports by storm!

Even if the PS4 was not the platform of choice for most Esports competitors last generation, Sony has taken great strides to boost their image in the world of Esports, and it looks like they might finally pay off with the PS5. Besides, organized competition has always been a part of gaming culture, but Esports is just too big to ignore nowadays. A lot of titles that are widely played competitive command the same type of respect and viewership that many traditional sports do. And Sony and Microsoft have both taken note. And when it comes to Sony, it looks like their efforts may push them to the top.

While Microsoft is moreso pushing the Xbox Series X as an upgraded home entertainment centre – a true upgrade to the Xbox One line of consoles, complete with the ever incredible Game Pass – Sony is pushing the PS5 as a true traditional games system.
