We’re here to argue why YOU should be playing Yakuza 0. To be snappy about it: the price is great, the game is huge, the characters are brilliant, the story is captivating, and there’s a certain je ne sais quoi about it. We at The Gamer are going to articulate that je-ne-sais-quoi.

What we believe is the game’s charm is the abruptness of the changes in its tone and style. One minute, you’re in a deadly serious mafioso-style drama where the stakes are life and death, and the next, you’re singing karaoke or dancing like you’re in a Japanese boy band.

We’re also going to talk about the story itself, the unusual dialogue system which shifts from grunts, to text, to regular, to the characters communicating telepathically. It’s strange, but you just have to see it.

The game also avoids the major pitfall many big narrative games fall into: the uncanny valley. The characters pop and feel so real, as they connect with each other, and in turn, with the user, creating a relatable believable experience all the while creating situations so that it doesn’t take itself too seriously. And we’re going to talk about the fighting – the over the top, super-fun, wild and crazy fighting, where you occasionally beat up a hundred men or more to have a conversation with a higher up. Should You Buy A PS3 in 2020?

First released in 2006, the PS3 would go on to be a huge hit around the world! Though it would never outsell the Nintendo Wii, it would eventually outsell Microsoft’s Xbox 360, thanks in part to incredible titles such as Uncharted, The Last of Us, and Metal Gear Solid 4!

The PlayStation 3 lived an odd life, filled with some controversies, some great games, and also three major revisions each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Some PS3s can play PS2 games, some have an openable disc tray, and some can even natively run Linux – assuming they haven’t been updated past a certain point, that is. At the same time, the PlayStation Network is still up and running for the PS3, and is still free to use for PS3 games in 2020! PS3 games can still be downloaded, along with DLC for physical games!

And as for those physical games, many of them are dirt cheap nowadays! However, many have also since received updated ports to newer consoles such as the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
