New York Times journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey told Kay Burley how the investigation unfolded, how the actress Gwyneth Paltrow was a key source at the beginning of the story and how other women ignored non-disclosure agreements to make public allegations against the film director.

Labour MP Keith Vaz faces suspension after drug and sex probe

One of Labour’s most high profile MPs, Keith Vaz is facing a six month suspension from the Commons for offering to buy drugs for sex workers and not cooperating with an inquiry.

It completes a spectacular downfall for a man who was once a minister of state and a select committee chair.

Mr Vaz said he’s being treated for a serious mental health condition.

He says voters will find the Labour leader’s behaviour “utterly bemusing”.

Johnson confirms the government will now bring forward a bill for an election on 12 December, as a means of working round the Fixed-term Parliaments Act.
