Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing soon, but it’s not the first game to have been done in the cyberpunk style! According to the book Burning Chrome, Cyberpunk is merely defined as being a “combination of low-life and high tech”.

Burning Chrome came out all the way back in the 1980s, and though Cyberpunk 2077 doesn’t release until 19 November 2020, there have been plenty of other games that take place in a dystopian future and/or feature the cyberpunk aesthetic. Besides, Cyberpunk is going to be $60 when it launches on PS4 and $70 on PS5!

Cyberpunk 2077 may have been a long time coming, and the wait is going to be even longer for those who want to play it on next-gen consoles. But, there are a ton of games done in the cyberpunk style that have already seen release! And some of them are a ton of fun to play, too!

We’re setting out to show that Cuphead doubles as a heart attack simulator. The game is incredibly fun but nerve racking as it hurts your pride as nothing is given and all victories are hard fought. There are many people who haven’t or couldn’t finish the game, and like my friend James who never finished high school, the uncompleted task of not completing Cuphead can wear on your self esteem. This task has become personal to myself and the team at The Gamer, and so we have decided to launch war on this title, and we will either come out victorious, or completely destroyed as humans. So yes, the stakes will be high.

As we did with our video about Resident Evil 3’s Nemesis, we’ll be strapping a heart rate monitor to my chest (I’m John The Gamer) and I’ll be giving this game all I’ve got over and over again until I win or I don’t quite make it. Going into this project, I have only played a little bit of Cuphead. Now it’s time to dive in with both feet and submerge myself in the lastest in our wacky missions. Join us in the fun. You might learn a thing or two. And if I don’t make it, remember I went in the line of duty. There’s pride in that.

Why Nigh Trap Is Actually A Fun Game

Night Trap is worth the money, and we’re going to give you five years why so. The controversial Sega CD title was re-released with its 25th Anniversary Edition by Screaming Villains, proving that time has turned the game partially responsible for the creation of the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) into a piece of video game history that you must own. It’s a really fun piece of campy interactive entertainment that will delight more than offend as its violent content pales in comparison to the likes of Grand Theft Auto and the newer versions of the game it was originally compared to: Mortal Kombat.

We played the game through and through and laughed more than expected. It was a blast switching between cameras in an interactive experience that paved the way for the likes of Heavy Rain and Deadly Premonition, and in more recent years, games like Tell Me Why and As Dusk Falls. Although not everyone would agree, the game brings people together, and gives it’s fan something fun to talk about.

The choose your own adventure feel to it gives the game its hook, the ultra dorky acting gives it its charm, and the campy horror is the icing on the cake. Spend the $14.99 USD on this slice of video game history, and multiply that by ten to get the Limited Run version with the pretty packaging.

Still, Valhalla’s standard edition will run you $59.99, and for that kind of cash you can pick up 5 amazing indie games that scratch the same itch. Today, we’re going to look at Hollow Knight, Undertale, Cuphead, LIMBO, and Among Us and tell you why you should consider buying these instead of giving your dollars to Ubisoft, a company embroiled in controversy over allegations of sexual misconduct and assault at the company’s highest levels, for their latest rehash.

These games are available on multiple platforms and a variety of storefronts, which can influence price, and across the many regions of the world, price can fluctuate further. For our purposes, we’ll be looking at the U.S. Steam prices of these games, which we will note and keep a running tally of as we go through each title. At the end of the video we will compare the combined average playtimes of these games, which collectively will cost as much as Valhalla’s standard edition, in relation to the average playtime of an Assassin’s Creed game.
