Bohemian Rhapsody tells the story of Queen and the trials and tribulations of the one and only Freddie Mercury. While we were “ready, Freddie” to see this film, there were some hidden easter eggs and obscured references that we all might have missed on the first viewing. Well, don’t stop us now, because we’re about to go through ten special details that make Bohemian Rhapsody a killer queen.

Whether you love their greatest hits or the lesser known entries in their catalogue, Queen is a band for everyone. But not everyone noticed the cameo of some fat bottomed girls in a stationary bicycle race. Other people may not have caught the cameo from the latest member the latest iteration of Queen – Adam Lambert – who popped up in a full-on trucker look. There were also hidden references to some of Queen’s visual inspirations – including a photo of Marlene Dietrich. And while any casual Wayne’s World fanatic would pick up on the significance of the Mike Myers cameo, did anyone outside of the UK and younger than fifty understand that “Up Pompeii” reference. The world of pop culture is still mourning the devastating loss of the iconic Stan Lee at the grand old age of 95 – and the outpouring of grief made it so obvious how loved and admired the Marvel legend was.

That love and admiration didn’t just come from his fans, however – far from it, in fact.

Stan Lee had an effect on the lives of some of the biggest names in Hollywood and showbusiness – not least on the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe he helped to inspire with his years of hard work.

Let us tell you about an incredible superhero group. One that includes a powerful Kryptonian living on Earth, a speedster with amazing powers, and a hero who emerges from darkness of Gotham City and dresses like a Bat. While these attributes may describe the Justice League — we’re actually talking about television’s Arrowverse. Since 2012, the Arrowverse has slowly grown and expanded — featuring a great lineup of DC characters that could easily go toe to toe with any other cinematic universe. But how did the Arrowverse grow and become so successful while the DCEU has faltered over the past few years? Well, we’ll break everything down for you, showcase how the Arrowverse has risen above BOTH the DCEU and MCU and what the future holds for all our favorite television heroes.

If a superhero show premiered on television, the characters, storylines, and heroes were all typically contained within the same show. The idea of connected universes were not as common as they are today. In the 60’s, the live-action Batman show was a trailblazer and led to a movie featuring the same characters. The Incredible Hulk was iconic in the late 1970’s and is still referenced today despite the aged effects. The 90’s saw a large boom of heroes on TV with the New Adventures of Lois and Clark and The Flash both receiving critical acclaim. Then of course, there were popular animation superhero shows like X-Men The Animated Series and Batman: The Animated Series. But one of the biggest shows to have an impact on superheroes in television was DC’s Smallville.
