10 Marvel References You Missed in Animated Movies

Did you catchy and of these subtle or not-so-subtle referenced to Marvel superheroes in your favorite animated movies? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

The Avengers have a lot more influence than just in the MCU. The iconic heroes have referenced and featured in all corners of pop-culture including the world of animation. See some of the great animated nods created in honor of the Avengers and all of the heroes. These references include direct quotes from the films along with some references to the heroes themselves.

Wreck-It Ralph showcased a lot of love towards the Avengers with two major references. The rainbow bridge in Sugar Rush is a nice nod to Thor’s Bifrost of Asgard. Ralph also transforms himself to look like a version of The Hulk early on in the film. The LEGO Movie features a direct reference to the original Avengers villain Loki and also has a nice quick moment referencing a classic Spider-Man line. SpongeBob Squarepants: Sponge Out of Water takes Bruce Banner’s classic speech and twists it up for a scene with Plankton. The Penguins of Madagascar team up together in an Avengers’ style formation and also showcase some cool explosion reactions like Iron Man. The LEGO Batman movie pulls no punches when it comes to their Marvel rival, including Batman’s secret password for entering the Batcave. Wreck-It Ralph 2 isn’t even out yet, but people are already talking about the Avengers cameos with characters like Iron Man and Gamora. Jay and Silent Bob were in their own animated movie and the end credits scene features a nod to many classic MCU films. Captain Underpants takes a page from Ant-Man and features a lot of similar elements during the climactic battle. Watch to see all these animated references and several more!

The battle royale genre has taken the gaming world by storm and two titles have found a way to stand out of the crowd: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite. While these games might not look very similar on the surface, they have a lot in common. For starters, they both run on the same engine and have the same goal. You obtain loot and you eliminate others to be the last one standing. That being said, Fortnite might just have the edge over PUBG due to a few differences.

For starters, Fortnite is free to play while PUBG costs 30 dollars. This allows Fortnite to attract more players and appeal to a more casual audience. Since Fortnite has a smaller map than PUBG and the storm comes in faster, it allows for a much faster paced game full of action. The color coded and consistent loot Fortnite has to offer makes landing in Tilted Towers a viable strategy while landing at a military base in PUBG is not guaranteed to give you good loot. In Fortnite, you can harvest materials and use them to build cover while in PUBG, you have to rely on your immediate environment for cover. Fortnite has better replay value than PUBG because the encounters are less of a game of cat and mouse and more spontaneous. Fortnite is so much more colorful than PUBG and the cartoonish graphics give the game a much lighter mood than the bleak PUBG environment. Without further ado, here are 6 Things Fortnite Can Do That PUBG Can’t!

Steven Spielberg directs Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks in The Post, a thrilling drama about the unlikely partnership between The Washington Post’s Katharine Graham (Streep), the first female publisher of a major American newspaper, and editor Ben Bradlee (Hanks), as they race to catch up with The New York Times to expose a massive cover-up of government secrets that spanned three decades and four U.S. Presidents. The two must overcome their differences as they risk their careers – and their very freedom – to help bring long-buried truths to light.

The Post marks the first time Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have collaborated on a project. In addition to directing, Spielberg produces along with Amy Pascal and Kristie Macosko Krieger. The script was written by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer, and the film features an acclaimed ensemble cast including Alison Brie, Carrie Coon, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Tracy Letts, Bob Odenkirk, Sarah Paulson, Jesse Plemons, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Bradley Whitford and Zach Woods.

10 Actors Who Were Never The Same After A Role

These actors were changed by the characters they played. Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/Subscribe-to-Screenrant

Acting can take on performers in a number of different ways. Some actors go through physical transformations for roles, some go through emotional transformations, and some go through both. For some of Hollywood’s greatest actors, signing up for a movie completely changed their lives forever. Some would quit acting while others had to completely change the way they lived their life.

Gene Hackman had an illustrious film career, but his older age was getting to him and he reached his breaking point with a Ray Romano comedy film. Jake Lloyd was cast as the young version of Darth Vader, but having such a prominent role led to a huge downfall for the actor. George Clooney did his own stunts in Syriana and got severely injured when one of the stunts went horribly wrong. Shelly Duvall dedicated four months to filming of the intense film The Shining and was put through literal hell to get her scenes films. Bill Skarsgard completely transformed for the role of Pennywise the clown in IT, but the haunting may have turned around on him. Bob Hoskins starred alongside cartoons in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, but it was the animated world which took over his own head. Colin Firth had to learn a stutter for The King’s Speech and then had to un-learn the speaking inconsistencies for his own personal life. Linda Hamilton learned what it was like to take on the Terminator. Watch to see all these actors and how they transformed along with several others!
