This was the third edition of Red Bull King of the Rock in Serbia. The tournament was held at the Crvena Zvezda Basketball Courts at Kalemegdan fortress in front of over 1,000 spectators. On August 31, 256 players took part in 4 qualifier tournaments that whittled down the field to the top 64 players including the last year’s winner Nebojsa Boskovic. These players then played for the national national final. In the semi final Nikola Vujovic played against Dusan Domovic 12:10 (the winner of Red Bull King of the Rock national final 2011) while on the other side Nebojsa Boskovic (the winner of Red Bull King of the Rock national final 2012) played against Bogdan Dragovic 20:20. Nebojsa Boskovic was on the court for the first time in 11 months after an absence due to injury he suffered last year at the World final. Both semi final games were tied and the finalists were decided in extra time. Both previous finalists were knocked out and the final match was won by Nikola Vujovic.
