Movie spoilers can be revealed in a number of ways; fans can blurt out information as soon as they step out of the movie theatre, photos from movie sets can give away more information than the studios would like, and even the actors themselves sometimes can’t help but reveal too much – but there’s another source of spoilers too: toys.
In this video, we’ll take a look at ten occasions when official toylines spoiled the plots of popular movies.
Those ten occasions are; when Lego spoiled the ending of 2010’s Toy Story 3, when Hasbro ruined the fact that Giant-Man would appear in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, when toylines revealed there would be Shrek-babies in 2007’s Shrek the Third, when action figures revealed that Padmé and Queen Amidala were the same person in 1999’s Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, when an action figure revealed that The Doctor was actually Rex Lewis in 2009’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, when a double action figure set revealed that Ego was the main villain in 2017’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, when a Playmates action figure spoiled the fact that The Blank was actually Breathless Mahoney in 1990’s Dick Tracy, when a playset revealed that Superman would return and that Steppenwolf would be the villain in 2017’s Justice League, when a playset revealed the entire plot of 2007’s The Simpsons Movie, and when a couple of toys spoiled who would be wearing the Hulkbuster armour in 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War.
