During a recent trip to China in association with DCar, four lucky MotorTrend staffers got to drive a massive collection of Chinese-made EVs, to see whether there’s any merit in all the US hand-wringing over the rapid expansion of the Chinese EV market.

One subset of cars which we found particularly interesting were the Model 3 competitors, so we decided to group them together and do a good old fashioned five-way comparison test.
