Toyota GR Supra 2.0 2021 review | Are four cylinders enough? | Autocar

This is the new 2021 Toyota Supra 2.0. Cheaper and less powerful than the 3.0-litre (obviously), it’s an entry-level Supra that has four rather than six cylinders. Gulp. Is that enough for a muscly grand touring sports car?

The Supra 2.0 has 254bhp, which is good for a 0-62mph time of 5.2sec and a limited top speed of 155mph. The price is £45,995 rather than the 3.0’s other side of £50,000.

The main good news though is that it’s almost 100kg lighter than the bigger-engined Supra, at 1395kg. And a lighter car is usually good for vehicle handling. Is that the case here? Or does a coupe like the Supra really need six cylinders?

Despite the availability of almost 50 kinds of beans, Mexicans are not consuming them nearly as much as they used to. This has threatened the production of Mexico’s native beans, which are now facing extinction.
