For thirty years, we’ve seen Marge Simpson put up with a lot of crap from Homer, but no matter how many hardships the couple goes through, it ends up getting resolved in the end. Well, there were multiple occasions where Marge should have given Homer the boot — for good. Yup, we’re talking about a divorce! Of course, Marge has never filed for divorce, but she easily could have and there are a ton of reasons why. For today’s sake, we’re going to just focus on a select few of them.

Why should Marge stay married to Homer when he married another woman?! The plot was dragged out over multiple seasons, but then ignored and Marge was OK with it. And then there’s the time Homer decided to try and protect his family with the purchase of a gun — a gun he carelessly used around the house. And we cannot forget about the time Homer took his family out of the home so there could be an adult movie filmed on location — and of course they all showed back up a little TOO early. Homer and Marge have been married a long time, but this hasn’t stopped him from spying on his wife and getting details about her personal therapy sessions. Support is important for any couple, but Homer decides to skip out on an important wedding toast as he tries to go by a lottery ticket because of what a fortune cookie said. Watch to see all these moments and then decide if the long-lasting couple should actually call it quits!
