How To Shell Out For A Beach Clambake (With Lobster & Chicken & Corn & Farideh)

At MUNCHIES, we love social events–you know, like, mixers, formals, clambakes, and trips to the Cape (in our case, Long Island).

Culinary Director Farideh Sadeghin took a trip out to Long Island, New York to go diving for clams. Then she headed back to shore to show us how to make the ultimate beach clambake, complete with chicken, sausage, lobsters, corn, potatoes, and of course, freshly-caught clams. Her method uses different layers of seaweed and raw eggs that turn to hard boiled once the cooking is complete. Summer might be coming to an end, but there’s still time to clam!

Check out the recipe for a perfect clambake, here: http://bit.ly/munchies-clambake-recipe

10 Things About The Meg That Make Absolutely No Sense

The Meg might be the greatest shark movie to come out since Jaws, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect! Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

The Meg surprised everyone and swam to the top of the box office, taking a massive bite out of the competition. The film stars Jason Statham as Jonas and sees him going up against the once presumed extinct shark known as Megalodon. Co-starring are Ruby Rose and Rainn Wilson. Coming in at around twenty meters, the shark was gigantic and we’re sure glad it’s not swimming the waters today. As fun as the movie was though, there was still some mistakes in the film that left us scratching our heads, especially when concerning the so-called science in the film. Firstly, there was a big emphasis on the shark’s habitat, which was in a trench lower than the Mariana Trench. Due to the shortage of food, the pressure of the water and the shark’s own metabolism, it’s impossible for such a large shark-or in this case-sharks, to have lived successfully in the ocean depths for so long with so little to keep it alive. Jason Statham at one point brings a submarine to a rapid descent and the scientists on the surface tell him his life could be in danger. But the sub is actually pressurized, so rate of descent would have no bearing on his physical health! The cloud that keeps the Megs trapped in the trench is hydrogen sulfide and would actually seriously harm or kill the animal should it pass through the cloud, hole or no hole. The film has a calm moment featuring some humpback whales, but even the scientists get some facts about them wrong. It’s not only the scientists too; the doctors on the facility seem to be poorly educated as they can’t seem to find a liver on a human! The fact that the shark can hunt by daylight makes no sense, while the floating remains of finless sharks is also a factual error. Finally, the opening flashback scene makes no sense with the information we have about the hole in the cloud of hydrogen-as there is no way the shark could’ve passed through it without something already making a hole in the cloud. Finally, the logic and method for how the crew brought the meg aboard their ship defies the laws of physics.

5 Weird Things ALL Disney Princesses Have In Common

So what does it really take to be considered a legitimate Disney Princess? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6

Everyone knows about the Disney Princesses. They are basically everywhere, between the mountains of merchandise their images are slapped on, to the straight-to-DVD films starring them. However, what most people don’t know, is what exactly it takes for a Disney character to become a part of the official roster of Princesses.

While we do not know the official guidelines, as Disney has been pretty quiet about such things, it is pretty easy to figure out a few of the requirements by just taking a look at shared traits between the members proper. So let’s take a look at these theoretical rules, shall we?

2. Lead Role
3. Original
4. Royal
