The A-List stars of Hollywood still need to rely on someone to keep them out of harm’s way in every shot. Luckily, there are stunt doubles that are as flawless as the actresses to take the punches and chase down the bad guys. These gals show their male counterparts in the stunt double world how it’s done! This year, Caitlin Dechelle was widely recognized for her large skill set, which she showed off as during the stunts of “Wonder Woman,” doubling for Gal Gadot. The Moneymaker sisters, Renae Moneymaker and Heidi Moneymaker are known in the action film world as the go-to women for anything dangerous, doubling for Jennifer Lawrence and Scarlett Johansson on films such as “The Hunger Games,” “The Avengers: Infinity War,” and “Thor:Ragnarok.”
Ingrid Kleinig and Margot Robbie almost appear as the same person on “Suicide Squad,” while Monique Ganderton takes home an award for her fighting in “Atomic Blonde,” helping out Charlize Theron. Aja Frary is the stunt double who can drive better than anyone, playing in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” for Megan Fox. Jahnel Curfman, Helen Steinway Bailey, and Janene Carleton are mainstays in the Hollywood stunt world, stepping in for A-listers like Angelina Jolie in “Salt,” Jessica Chastain in “The Martian,” and Karen Gillan in “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” Last, but definitely not least, the lady who has thrown more punches and taken more falls than most, Alicia Vela-Bailey, who has doubled for Gal Gadot but also Shailene Woodley in “Divergent.”
