After a 5 year hiatus, the Insight is back and in the traditional sedan body riding on the current 10th generation Civic platform. Think of the 2019 version as a new Civic Hybrid with the latest 2 motor powertrain, up to 55 MPG city, and a spacious and premium cabin designed to entice buyers away from the Toyota Prius.

As family sedans continue to feel the heat from crossovers, Nissan takes the covers off the latest version of the Altima sedan. Replacing the old V6 with a VC-turbo 4-cylinder and offering AWD on the base engine should give buyers a reason to choose it over a more practical SUV. Throw in an all-new interior with a brand new infotainment system which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and we could see a pretty exciting war brewing in the midsize family sedan segment.

After selling over 400,000 in 2017, the latest RAV4 moves to the successful TNGA platform, Toyota promises it to be stiffer, stronger, more capable, and more practical. The safety and tech features are much improved with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 standard and Apple CarPlay with the newest Entune 3.0 infotainment system.

Not looking to be outdone by competitors, Toyota got tired of the constant “bland” comments regarding their best-selling Corolla and moves the compact car to the very successful TNGA platform with the hatchback making the return to the states. With a lower and wider body, fully independent suspension, new 2.0L direct injection 4-cylinder, and a standard 6-speed manual with rev matching, the 2019 Corolla looks to change the way enthusiast feel about the Corolla in general.
