UK company strikes oil in Mexico: ‘We expect it to be a profitable venture’

British company Premier Oil says a consortium in which it is a member has struck oil off the coast of Mexico, in what it says is the fifth-biggest discovery anywhere in the world in the last five years. Chief Executive Tony Durrant speaks to Ian King.

Daphne Reid took over the role of Vivian Banks after three seasons on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

Mark Ruffalo replaced Edward Norton as the Incredible Hulk after Norton was displeased with the creative direction of the movie.

Mark Wahlberg was cast in the Lovely Bones after Ryan Gosling gained too much weight for the producers and directors liking. 210 pounds was apparently not what they had in mind for his character.

Katherine Heigl was thrown into the role of Allison Scott in Knocked Up after Anne Hathaway turned down the role.

Terrance Howard was replaced by Don Cheadle as Lt. Colonel Rhodes in the Iron Man series. Howard was dissatisfied with the money he would be making and quit.

Scarlett Johansson did the voice of Samantha, the A.I. operating system in the movie Her. The role was originally given to Samantha Morton.

Christian Bale basically recast himself in American Psycho. It was given to him, then secretly Leonardo Dicaprio, then back to him again.

Hugo Weaving ended up playing the fancy, knife-wielding anarchist in V for Vendetta after James Purefoy gave it up due to the fact he didn’t want his face to be covered by a mask the whole movie.

Michiel Huisman took over the role of Daario Naharis after Ed Skrein quit the show to work on other projects.

Michael Biehn was literally thrust into the role of Corporal Dwayne Hicks in Aliens after James Remar could not come to terms with Cameron about the creative aspect of the film.
