Have you ever been so hyped up for a game to be released only to later learn it was surprisingly cancelled? Well, some video games fall through the cracks during production and never find a way to be stocked on the shelves of your local video game store. This is most likely due to financial reasons, but it could simply be because the developer did not want to go forward with the project for whatever reason. It is much more common to see indie game developers back out of an expensive project than triple A game developers. There have been plenty of moments where big name developers have broken the hearts of millions of gamers worldwide by refusing to continue working on a game. The excitement of gamers around the world vanishes in the blink of an eye and they may begin to question life as they know it. It’s crazy to think some video games which would be absolute gold mines have been cancelled, but that’s just the way things go in the video game industry. It can be a cruel, cruel world. Sometimes, the publisher will find a different developer to work on the video game, but most likely, it will fail to get any traction forcing the project to be cancelled entirely. From a Star Wars game starring Boba Fett to a Fallout MMORPG, there have been plenty of cancelled games that would have made millions throughout the years. Enjoy the video!
