وكأن “نصف المجتمع” لم يكن لقباً كافياً لإعطائها ما تستحقه من حقوق , فبقت على الرغم من ذلك من تحتل النصف الأكثر ضعفاً , الذى يعلو صوته دائماً مطالبة بحقوق لم يمنحها إياها المجتمع أو القانون فى الكثير من الدول التى احتفظت بقوانين صارمة مازالت تمنع المرأة من حقوقها البسيطة
واليوم توجد أكثر من 44 دولة حول العالم تتبنى قوانين تسلب حقوق المرأة وتفرق بين حقوقها وحقوق الرجل
في هذا التقرير نقدم لك صورة عن أبرز القوانين المفروضة ضد المرأة فى دول العالم , ولكن دعنا نؤكد لك في البداية أن ما ستقرؤه هي ليست «نكاتًا»، وإنما هي قوانين يتم تطبيقها بالفعل وتعانى منها النساء حول العالم :
