شارك صلاح سرحان، البالغ من العمر 49 عاماً، بالتمثيل في عدة أفلام، أبرزها “صرخة أنثى” و”النعامة والطاووس” و”نعتذر عن هذا الحلم” و”45 يوم ” وينتمي صلاح لعائلة فنية ساهمت في غرس موهبة التمثيل فيه منذ صغره وإن لم يحظ بنفس شهرة أفرادها، فوالده الفنان شكري سرحان كان فتى السينما المصرية طوال مرحلة الخمسينيات والستينيات، وهو من أعظم ممثلي السينما العربية في القرن العشرين. وعمه صلاح سرحان الذي شارك في القليل من الأعمال السينمائية والمسرحية، ومن أشهر أعماله السينمائية “الشموع السوداء” عام 1962، و”علشان عيونك” عام 1954، وفيلم “بين قلبين” عام 1953.

أما عمه الأصغر فهو سامي سرحان الذي لم يحقق نجاحاً كبيراً مثل أخيه شكري، لذلك أسندت إلى سامي أدوار ثانوية، مثل وكيل الوزارة في فيلم “الناظر”، وجد محمد هنيدي في فيلم “سور الصين العظيم”.
وقد توفى الفنان والمؤلف المصري صلاح سرحان فى سبتمبر 2014، بعد تعرضه لأزمة صحية نقل على إثرها لأحد المستشفيات
