Many of those with severe speech disorders use a computerized device to communicate. Yet they choose between only a few voice options. That’s why Stephen Hawking has an American accent, and why many people end up with the same voice, often to incongruous effect. Speech scientist Rupal Patel wanted to do something about this, and in this wonderful talk she shares her work to engineer unique voices for the voiceless.

لعلك كل يوم تسمع تسريبات اسرار الاجهزة الالكترونية قبل صدورها على الانترنت على الاقل إذا كنت متابع لمدونة المحترف ستلاحظ ان الاخ انس العكرودي دائما ياتينا بتسريبات لعملومات تضم صور او مقاطع ڤيديو للاجهزة قبل صدورها ، طبعا قد لا انكر ان كل التسريبات ليست حقيقية بل بالفعل هي كذلك لكن ما انكره انه بالفعل هناك تسريبات على الانترنت ، مادام ان مصطلح تسريب يعني ان هناك سر تكنولوجي تم فضحه قبل إصداره رسميا ! وهذا هو مايجعلني اشك بالفعل ان مانسمع يوميا من تسريبات انه بالفعل تسريب وليس إعلانا غير مباشر للشركة عن منتوجها المرتقب من اجل ان تخلق الحدث ومعرفة رأي المهتمين قبل صدوره . غير ذلك فهذه “التسريبات” قد تضم معلومات حقيقية والتي غالبا ماتكون معلومات سطحية حول الجهاز المسرب مثلا مثل غطائه الخارجي . او كاذبة و تكون بها تفاصل دقيقة جدا ، الهدف منها دائما خلق الحدث وكذلك إيهام المنافسين .

امر اخر يجعلني لا اصدق ان هناك ستريبات ، إذا لاحظت معي دائما نسمع كلمة تسريبات تتصدر عناوين الاخبار لكن لانسمع بمتابعات قانونية للمواقع التي تنشر لاول مرة هذه الاسرار او فتح تحقيقات في الامر، الشيئ الذي يبين رضى هذه الشركات عن الملعومات المنتشرة فما رأيك ؟
