Red Bull Youth America’s Cup 2013 – Selection Highlights

Five of the best youth sailing teams in the world have qualified for the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup following a grueling two-week Selection Series in San Francisco. The 12 crews, from 11 countries, were pushed to the limit as they fought for the right to compete in September’s races.

National crews from Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Portugal and Switzerland, made the cut to advance to the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup where they will meet five crews supported by current America’s Cup teams

Double Olympic Gold medalists Roman Hagara and Hans-Peter Steinacher, the Sports Directors for the Red Bull Youth America’s Cup, made the selections after closely monitoring the teams on and off the water during the two back-to-back selection weeks. With the high talent level and extreme motivation of the crews, there were hard choices to make.

بالصور| خادم الحرمين يعتمد المخطط النهائي لتوسعة المسجد النبوي

اعتمد خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك عبدالله بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، رسمياً اليوم، التعديلات النهائية الكبرى للمسجد النبوي في الجهات الشمالية والشرقية والغربية، وقام بالتوقيع على مخطط التوسعة لاعتماد المشروع وتنفيذه في مدة أقصاها سنتان ليستوعب المسجد بعد التطوير أكثر من مليون وستمائة ألف مصل.

جاء ذلك بعد إطلاع الملك في مقر إقامته بروضة خريم على التعديلات التي سبق أن وجه بها للتوسعة الكبرى، واستمع الملك إلى شرح من وزير المالية الدكتور إبراهيم بن عبدالعزيز العساف، ومساعد وزير المالية الأستاذ محمد بن حمود المزيد والقائمين على المشروع وذلك على المجسم والمخططات النهائية لمشروع التوسعة.
وقال خادم الحرمين في معرض تعليقه على المخططات التنفيذية النهائية للتوسعة : “إن هذه التوسعة فيها خير وبركة لحجاج وزوار بيت الله الحرام وللشعب السعودي الأبي وأسأل الله أن Continue reading →
