Insane 4 sport relay race – Red Bull Elements – Talloires, France

To see more insane races visit http://win.gs/1aXUVRM
Under the blazing sun in Talloires, 51 teams embarked on a hardcore relay race across the region.

After navigating a 8.6 mile (14k) rowing course, the athletes pass it on to their teammate to embark on a 31 mile (50k) trail run. 31 miles of insanely difficult terrain including having to climb granite slabs and steep inclines with average slopes of 21% and some reaching 80%.

A paraglider descends with a technical decent and passes the baton to their mountain bike anchor.

It’s a 15 mile (25k) rush across mostly single-track mayhem to the final push into the village via a nearly vertical footpath.

1st – Red Bull Austria 5h:02m:24s
2nd – Team Adidas 5h:05m:27s
3rd – Team Asics-Les Saisies 5h:14m:00s
