The Warp Zone – The Day Guitar Hero Died Lyrics
A long, long time ago…
In my college dorm room
Guitar Hero used to made me smile
And I knew if I had no fear
That I could make that fake crowd cheer
And it would make me happy for a while.
But February made me shiver
With every blog post I would quiver
Bad news on the Internet
No more colorful frets
I couldn’t believe my tearing eyes
When I read what Kotick did decide
I really wish it was a lie
The day Guitar Hero died
So bye-bye fake guitar playing guy
This decision Activision made
Has left us deprived
Them good ol’ boys were drinking red bull and sprite
Singin rock band would have been a good buy
Rock band would have been a good buy
Did you lose your faith in games
When you couldn’t perfect Through the Fire and Flames
Did your Star power get too low?
Do you believe what happened here?
Did this game save Slash’s music career?
And could you teach me how to play in Easy mode?
Well, I know you love your C-O-D
And are planning Modern Warfare 3
Your guns replaced guitars
And you tomahawked our hearts
I was a lonely teenage legend of rock
With a Boston t-shirt and superman socks
But I found I was nothin’ but talk
The day Guitar Hero died
I started singin’,
Bye-bye fake guitar playing guy
This decision Activision made
Has left us deprived
Them good ol’ boys were drinking red bull and sprite
Singin rock band would have been a good buy
Rock band would have been a good buy
At Neversoft, designers screamed
Musicians cried, and the gamers dreamed?
But we were out of tokens;
And the PS2’s were broken
And the songs I 5-starred all the time
Like Free Bird and Sweet Child of Mine
Got stuck on replay in my mind
The day Guitar Hero Died
We were singin’
Bye-bye fake guitar playing guy
This decision Activision made
Has left us deprived
Them good ol’ boys were drinking red bull and sprite
Singin rock band would have been a good buy
Rock band would have been a good buy
Special Thanks to Don Mclean and Weird Al Yankovic for inspiring this American Pie Parody 🙂

In this video I review the Google Cr-48 laptop along with Google Chrome OS. Chrome OS is a brand new browser based operating system by Google that is designed to get you browsing as quickly as possible. To test it Google shipped out a limited number of Cr-48 computers to early adopters and so today I give my full review on both the Google Cr-48 along with how Google Chrome OS is doing today.
We take Infiniti’s sporty green machine, the M35h, to the test track to see if performance and hybrid can exist in the same sentence.

http://www.ted.com At TED@MotorCity, Lisa Gansky, author of “The Mesh,” talks about a future of business that’s about sharing all kinds of stuff, either via smart and tech-enabled rental or, more boldly, peer-to-peer. Examples across industries — from music to cars — show how close we are to this meshy future.
http://www.ted.com We each want to live a life of purpose, but where to start? In this luminous, wide-ranging talk, Jacqueline Novogratz introduces us to people she’s met in her work in “patient capital” — people who have immersed themselves in a cause, a community, a passion for justice. These human stories carry powerful moments of inspiration.

http://www.ted.com At TEDxRainier, Patricia Kuhl shares astonishing findings about how babies learn one language over another — by listening to the humans around them and “taking statistics” on the sounds they need to know. Clever lab experiments (and brain scans) show how 6-month-old babies use sophisticated reasoning to understand their world.
