Each phone runs Android, Android 2.1 with HTC Sense on the Droid Incredible, Android 2.1 with a custom Motorola interface on the Droid X and what looks like stock Android 2.2 on the Droid 2.

How To Get Game Center on iOS 4

In this video I show you how to get Game Center on your iPhone or iPod touch on iOS 4. It is a very simple process that requires you to put the iOS 4 Gold Master on your device which is almost identical to the standard iOS 4. Practically the only difference is that it comes with Game Center preinstalled.

There are a few requirements however. You will need a Windows or Mac computer that is running iTunes 9.2 and either an iPod touch 2G, iPod touch 3G, iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS. iOS 4 (and therefore Game Center) is not supported on the iPod touch 1G or the iPhone 2G. In addition there is no Gold Master version of iOS 4 for the iPhone 4.

Once you have backed up your device and restored iOS 4 GM onto it you should have Game Center. There isn’t much to do in it as of yet however so this is only for people who just don’t want to wait for it to be released in a later update.

iPhone OS 3 vs. iOS 4 Speed Test

In this video I compare iPhone OS 3 to iOS 4 in a head to head speed matchup. I loaded a fresh install of iPhone OS 3.1.2 on my iPod touch 2G and then did the same with iOS 4. I ran several tests of the Safari browser that includes repeatedly opening websites over Wi-Fi and filming the results. I then did some general tests of the Maps application including timing the loading time and general speed and responsiveness. Lastly I timed opening up the graphically intense application Real Racing multiple times on both operating systems to see if there was any difference.

Many people have reported that apps seem both faster and slower in some cases on iOS 4 so I decided to do a full test of a few major aspects of the operating systems to try and shed some light on the situation.
