Should you buy a GameCube in 2021? With everyone everywhere on the internet trying to sell you something, why buy a Gamecube two decades after its release? Historical value? Collectors item? Notalgia? No, no, and no. The GameCube is fun now. Here’s why:
Four controller ports in a system with a lot of games that encourage group play – a lot of it the kind you have in the same room. At least, for the non Phantasy Star Online gamers. And if you had 15 friends with WaveBirds, you could play 16 people at the same time if you were all in the same room and playing Mario Kart Double Dash.
There’s no secret to the GameCube’s Success – it was its games. It had wonderful Mario and non-Mario titles. Smash Bros Melee was a treat. Zelda: Twilight Princess is still a hot title. Luigi’s Mansion set up a very popular franchise. And
