The Xbox 360 is thought of as the reigning champ of its console generation, if you discount the Wii as something of an anomaly. Though, this idea is complicated by the fact that the PS3 actually outsold the 360 that generation, when all was said and done, making it the true ‘winner’ of the generation, if such a thing exists.
Much of the 360’s early lead in its generation was undercut by its massive problem with hardware failure. The Red Ring of Death plagued many an Xbox 360 user in the mid-to-late 2000s, and for a long time, the Xbox 360 was simply seen as too unreliable to bother actually buying. When these issues cleared up, and as redesigns entered the market and the Kinect became a smash hit, the 360 became more and more attractive a device, and this holds true today.
From the price of the console to its game library to what modding can do on the system to the nature of 360 games vs. their PS3 counterparts and how 360 games look and play today, there is every reason to go out and start gaming on a 360 in 2021. Lucas Sin of Junzi Kitchen and Nice Day Chinese Takeout is in the Munchies Test Kitchen making his take on an iconic takeout dish: Chinese-American restaurant-style egg rolls. Lucas pays homage to the mighty egg roll with this step-by-step recipe that includes store-bought egg roll skins and DIY duck sauce and spicy mustard. Lucas demonstrates how to make the egg roll filling with cabbage, carrots, and Chinese celery, plus a mixture of ground pork and shrimp, and explains the importance of double-frying.
