Will we ever get a proper Carnage origin story on the big screen?? Subscribe to our channel: http://goo.gl/ho3Hg6
Sony’s Venom movie hits theatres around the world in just a couple of months, with British actor Tom Hardy in the titular role, and the studio are still hoping that Marvel Studios will accept it as being part of the hugely popular Marvel Cinematic Universe (at the moment, it’s only believed to be “adjunct” to the MCU, whatever that’s supposed to mean).
However, there’s talk that Woody Harrelson might be playing the character of Cletus Kasady in the movie, which would suggest the introduction of Carnage is imminent (Kasady is one of the hosts and alter-egos of Carnage in the comic books).
With that in mind, it’s extremely unlikely that Marvel will accept Sony’s project into their child-friendly franchise – because Carnage is just too dark. And this video will explain exactly why that’s the case.
The reasons in question are; that the bonding process between the Carnage symbiote and its host is too gory, that Carnage is a mass-murderer who kills out of enjoyment, that Carnage is also a cannibal who eats his victims, that Carnage has a cult of followers which would promote cultism, and that his death at the hands of Sentry in the comic books was way too gory for a Marvel movie (Sentry ripped him in half and his entrails spewed out all over the place).
We hope you enjoy the video! Please leave a comment letting us know what you thought about it. And don’t forget to subscribe to Screen Rant’s YouTube channel, so you never miss our great new video uploads in the future.
