Since I was a child, I’ve loved video games. I’ve always wanted to play them all day, every day for pretty much the rest of my life. That sounded perfect. Somehow, I landed a job in accounting. I’m ready to change and this is the story about how a casual gamer like myself tried to venture into the world of the pro. My best friend, who is a pro gamer, takes me through trials and tribulations. After giving up everything I have, do I have what it takes to make it to the big leagues? Countless hours of studying, painstaking diets and even selling my home; I try my hand at becoming a professional video game player. The world of eSports is as cutthroat as any. But I’m a man of resilience. I’ve climbed the corporate ladder, I’ve paid my dues, plus, I’m pretty good at video games…I think. Join me on this journey of becoming the best video game player, where nothing could possibly go wrong and where my expectations are clearly properly set. Yeah, that sounds about right. I set forth by conquering single player games, open world games and, finally, first-person shooters. Fortnite is all the rage these days, or at least I think it is, and I have the best gaming equipment money can buy, you know, because I sold everything I own to buy it. I guess that’s all the “pay to win” stuff I keep hearing about…
